Saturday with Lots of College Football

December 4, 2010

Mark and I are so relieved to be home. We are both getting rest right now.  He has started having two IV’s in the morning and one every night. Mark’s overall pain has greatly reduced since he came home. He is only taking regular Tylenol during the day. He will take something a lot stronger to sleep. It is really amazing. We walked up to the corner of the street yesterday and it felt great!

Sleeping continues to be a challenge since Mark can’t sleep on his side. He must sleep on his back. The bed we have rented does allow for him to elevate his back and legs, which he does through the night. He probably wakes up every two hours right now.

Mark is planning on writing something in a little while. He is very grateful for all of your love and prayers. He still can’t have any visitors until later next week. Thank you all for understanding that.

Oh, and the University of Oregon is going to the National Championship! Love you all ~ Kristina

After church today in Chiang Mai Thailand we prayed with pastor against the heart infection and bacteria. Their church has sent out over 250 missionaries to this part of the world since they began home church 16 years ago.The Pastor prayed Mark’s later season to be greater than the early season as it is filled with wisdom and grace. I believe this is true for you Mark as much of your planting is now producing fruit. So glad you are both back home.Look forward to walking with you all to another corner of your world in a few weeks.

  4. Dear Mark and Christina; thank you for keeping up with these notes as it has been good to be able to know what is going on from day to day as Mark means so much to us.
Here is the scripture Stephen found for you and Mark:
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ in accordance with his pleasure and will-to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.” Amen.

He loves you Mark and Christine!!!!!!

Such an encouraging update! Mark is such a trouper! Kristina, you are being exactly the “nurse” that Mark needs right now. Keep up the good work – both of you! I continue to pray for GOD’s strength to lift you both – very happy that things are going so well w/ Mark’s healing. PTL! xxMarian

  7. Dear Mark and Kristina: Last night (Saturday)
Stephen and I read all of your blogs and then got down on our knees and prayed for you and Mark. God bless you for all the trials you are going through as it is truely spiritual warfare. Dear Mark has been a strong voice for the Lord and we all are backing him up right now and know that he will come out of this stronger in our Lord. We also listened to an old sermon on TV by Billy Graham and heard his powerful voice and knew that God was indeed speaking through him, just the same as God has used Mark in a powerful way. When you are in the health food store, there is something you can pick up that helps to boost the immune system. It is a good syrup made from Black elderberries called “Sambucus”. It is very tasty and just the these berries are very high in antioxidants. when he gets off the drip, this will help his body recouperate. Sending much love and prayers, Stephen and Lauren
