Infectious Disease Report

December 14, 2010

Mark’s infectious disease doctor wants him to continue with 4 IV’s during the day now. He will only need them until Dec 30th. Three of them take more than an hour. He can take a nap or go for a walk while being infused.
Mark went on two walks today and his heart was just perfect. It was really encouraging to him. No problems with it beating too fast at all.

Some of our friends have wondered if he is getting bored. He really isn’t. When I asked him about that he said, “I don’t have time to get bored.” Reading the morning paper, his bible and his books keep him very entertained. He has downloaded some Tim Keller sermons as well as some others pastors. He is enjoying sitting in the backyard patio reading with the sun warming his back. It is nice to be home and enjoying our neighborhood. It is good to be alive.

This is so good! I have a new quote from the quote book I’m writing: “Sometimes we see ourselves as the Dancer and we always have to be “on and up” for it. Then something comes along and we are asked to step behind the curtain for a time and watch other dancers. During this time, we will come to understand that we are still part of the dance. New reflections will come to us. New ways of looking at an old dance. This is the joy of being a dancer. It never goes away in the heart. A dancer, a singer, an artist, they never fizzle up no matter what comes along. Life is a dance, a song, a work of art. Sometimes, quietness brings it out in each of us.”

I love you guys so much. God is abounding in you.
