A little inspiration…

December 6, 2010

As Mark rested on the sofa this evening, I asked him how he was doing. He asked me to sit down so that he could tell me a story he knew.
There is an old African legend about a group of baggage carriers who were trekking through the jungle on a safari. Suddenly the men stopped and dropped their burdens from their backs. The men who had hired them turned towards them and demanded to know what they were doing. Why had they stopped? They explained that they had hiked very hard and a very long way that day. It was time for their souls to catch up to them. And so they rested.
Mark said that when he rests, the prayers of all those friends are catching up to him and bringing grace to his soul. Thank you for your prayers and may you find rest tonight.

Here is a scripture Stephen found for you tonight.
    ” No eye has seen,
    no ear has heard,
    no mind has conceived
what God has prepared for those who love him. ”

    1 Chorinthians Chap 2 Verse 9

I am just so glad he and you are past the really traumatic part of the ordeal. Please don’t feel like you are ever boring anyone. It brings peace to my heart just to hear you both are having a chance to relax and distress from what you have been through. At this point, boring is good! Grace and Love to you both from our family.

    Dear Mark & Kristina,

I’m new to Living Streams and don’t know either of you very well yet. However, these blogs have been so wonderful because I feel like I’m getting to know you through them. Your transparency is so inspiring. Thank you.

Such warmth to our hearts to know that you are both getting some rest.
The story of the baggage is so timely and so needed, not only for us but we are sure for others.
Please let us know what you want and not just what you need. Sometimes a late night run for ice cream or chocolate could be what is needed. 🙂
We love you dearly and continue to pray for healing and restoration.
